Our next monthly support meeting at RISC is on Monday 9th May 2022 at 7.30pm
Rachel Freegard will be running a taster session on art journalling for wellbeing.
The workshop will focus on “What’s in your Mind?”, looking at the contradictory thoughts that play on our minds all the time. It’s a useful exercise to document these (both positive & negative) in a creative, artistic way. All materials will be provided & you do not need to be artistic to do this project.
Rachel is an experienced Arts & Crafts Tutor, running workshops mainly for people with anxiety &/or depression. Having personally suffered mental health issues for many years, Rachel recognises the positive role that creativity can play in relation to good mental health & wellbeing.
Art Journalling for Wellbeing is an art group in the Wokingham area for people who struggle with anxiety or depression. It uses mindful art techniques to create personal projects for our journals which enables us to channel our thoughts and anxieties in a positive way.
