How to Talk About Mental Health: Support Group at RISC 12th October 2026

Our next monthly support meeting at RISC is on Monday 12th October 2026 at 7.30pm.

This year’s World Mental Health Day campaign is ‘Lived experiences heard: real voices, real change’. It’s all about getting organisations to engage PWLE (people with lived experience) to shape policies & services.

With that in mind we will be hosting a group discussion around how to have meaningful conversations about mental health. We’ll share tips on how to talk about your mental health confidently & how to provide a safe space to listen to others talking about their mental health. These skills are at the core of peer support & what Depression Xpression does.

There will be time for questions and discussion with free refreshments.

Please register your free place through Eventbrite at the link below. As always, the meetings are completely free of charge and everyone is welcome. We aim to provide a safe and confidential environment where everyone is listened to and treated with respect.

If you book a ticket and are unable to attend, please let us know so that we can offer your place to someone else. You can cancel your ticket through Eventbrite, or send us a message via our contact form.

This event is supported by a grant from the Peter Baker Foundation
