Diet & lifestyle for mental health: Support Group at RISC 9th December 2024

Our next monthly support meeting at RISC is on Monday 9th December 2024 at 7.30pm.

Mark Bennett will discuss the uses of diet and lifestyle to support mental and optimal health.

Dietary and lifestyle interventions are extremely powerful yet typically underappreciated approaches that can often confer significant benefits across all areas of health and well being. Mental health is no exception. Combining his ongoing research and clinical experience, Mark will outline his current understanding of how chronic symptoms and conditions manifest and provide details on the ‘overarching’ dietary and lifestyle principles that he uses in clinic to help clients regain as much control as possible.

After the session there will be time for refreshments and a chat.

Mark is a functionally trained and degree qualified Nutritional Therapist and independent researcher. Functional medicine looks at the body as a whole and is focussed on identifying the root causes of chronic symptoms/disease rather than focusing on just symptomatic relief. Mark is a member of the British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy (BANT), the Complementary and Natural Health Care Council (CNHC), as well as being a registered Certified Gluten Practitioner, GAPS practitioner and Nutrigenetic Counsellor. Mark runs a private clinic near Reading in Berkshire.
