What Does Recovery Mean? Wokingham Support Group 4th June 2025

Our next monthly support meeting in Wokingham is on Wednesday 4th June 2025 at 7.00pm

Nikita Moody from Wokingham Recovery College will be facilitating a brief discussion around ‘what recovery means to you’ before describing what recovery colleges are, how they run their service & how you can access them.

After the session there will be time for refreshments and a chat

Wokingham Recovery College offers free co-produced mental health and wellbeing courses, workshops and support groups designed to teach skills for self-management of emotional well-being. They aim to provide the knowledge and skills for improving understanding of mental health. Their courses cover a range of well-being related topics. Each course involves taught theory, peer discussion, and activities. A group agreement is in place for all sessions to ensure that everyone feels safe and comfortable.

Courses cover topics such as Managing Anxiety, Managing Low Mood, Coping with Stress, Being Kind to Ourselves, Understanding Emotions, Improving Self Esteem and more.

It also offers a range of peer support groups to facilitate making connections and sharing ideas for improving wellbeing. Peer support groups can reduce loneliness, increase confidence and help you recognise your strengths.

Wokingham Recovery College accepts registrations from anyone over the age of 18 living in the Wokingham Borough.
